Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: I think I found a bug in the programming, and I would like to report it to help. How?
A: I appreciate this! Please email me at bob at opsat dot net with the error message, what you did to cause it.
Q: I have a good idea for a feature, want to hear about it?
A: Sure! Go ahead and email it to me. If I like it and implement it, I will add you to the About page for your help.
Q: Are you going to release the code, like other paste bins have?
A: Unsure. If I had to answer right now this minute I would say, probabliy not. This is a service I would rather run on my server than support as an application.
Q: What is with the short URL, P.OPSAT.NET?
A: The point of this place is to prevent you from spamming things like, chat rooms. In an effort to keep the url length down I have added a secondary now primary subdomain, P.OPSAT.NET. PASTE.OPSAT.NET will forever remain active because to tell people about the dump, that URL is more descriptive. The old one however will just redirect to the shorter one.
Q: Is this really free?
A: ... yes.
Q: It is not very private. How do I make my posts private?
A: ... that is the point. At this moment I do not forsee adding an ability to make posts private. It kind of counteracts the point of paste dumping.
